HINGE MOUNT FASTENERS - Two options are available for installation of the mounting plate. You may also use an optional matching back plate which is installed on the opposite side of the post to serve as a large washer plate for a through bolt installation. See related items below for purchasing separately:

• FP-CB8256 - Steel Carriage Bolt - 3/8" Dia. - 6 1/2" L - Suitable for 6x6 posts
• FP-LS8256 - Steel Lag Screw - 3/8" Dia. - 3 1/2" L - Suitable for posts 3 1/2” and larger

STRAP HINGE CARRIAGE BOLTS - Carriage bolts are required for each hinge. The first hole in each hinge uses a 1/2" dia. bolt. The remaining holes use 3/8” dia. bolts. These are not included with the hinge pairs because the length of bolt needed will vary with each installation. Order bolts 1” longer than the overall thickness of your gate or door.

Straps and bolts are sold in pairs. Each pair of straps will require:

• 12" Strap: 1 Pair @ 1/2" Dia. & 2 Pairs @ 3/8" Dia.
• 18" Strap: 1 Pair @ 1/2" Dia. & 2 Pairs @ 3/8" Dia.
• 24" Strap: 1 Pair @ 1/2" Dia. & 2 Pairs @ 3/8" Dia.
• 36" Strap: 1 Pair @ 1/2" Dia. & 3 Pairs @ 3/8" Dia.

FINISH - the hot dip galvanizing process, provides primary corrosion prevention for our steel hardware. During this process, the hardware is washed in acid and then dipped into a vat of molten, corrosion-resistant zinc. This process is not exact, and while all parts of our hardware are coated, the coating thickness may vary resulting in slight aesthetic imperfections to the finish. That being said, hot dip galvanizing is an integral step in our superior metal finishing process as it creates a metallurgical bond between the steel and the zinc coating. Therefore, in the event of damage, rust is unable to migrate to other parts of the product.
