Functional Shutter Hooks

Shutter Hooks are commonly used with Bahama Shutters to keep the shutter open or hold the shutter closed. However, historical evidence proves that shutter hooks were used as an alternative solution to tiebacks on functional swinging shutters. Look for arc's scratched into the surface under window sills in any historical area or on historical homes. The hooks, when disengaged and released, would lightly scribe their place in history while gently swinging to a stop.
