Steel Gate Strap Hinge
This Black Powder Coat Finish 12" stainless steel gate strap hinge set from the Signature Collection by Snug Cottage Hardware features a traditional design originating back in the 1800’s and are incredibly strong. Intended for wood applications including gates, barns, garages, garden sheds, outdoor showers and carriage houses.

CARRIAGE BOLTS - A carriage bolt is required for each hinge. Hinge sizes 7” to 16” require 3/8” dia. bolts and 18” to 36” require ½” dia. bolts. These are not included with the hinge pairs because the length of bolt needed will vary with each installation. Order bolts 1” longer than the overall thickness of your gate or door.
FINISH - during the powder coating process, the hardware is hung on racks along a moving line to which an electrical charge is applied. The hardware is then sprayed with a mist of fine powder with an opposing electrical charge. This process allows for a high-degree of control, therefore ensuring the powder coat is applied at an optimal, even thickness with no runs or sags. The hardware is then heat-cured to complete the process. Snug Cottage Hardware uses high-quality polyester powder coating that is designed specifically for outdoor use with high UV resistance.
