This Hot Dipped Galvanized Finish 12" forged heavy steel gate strap hinge set from the Signature Collection by Snug Cottage Hardware features a traditional design developed for use with curved-top gate designs (gates that either curve upward or bow downward). Intended for wood applications including gates, barns, garages, garden sheds, outdoor showers and carriage houses.

CARRIAGE BOLTS - A carriage bolt is required for each hinge. Hinge size requires 3/8” dia. bolts. These are not included with the hinge pairs because the length of bolt needed will vary with each installation. Order bolts 1” longer than the overall thickness of your gate or door.

HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED - the hot dip galvanizing process, provides primary corrosion prevention for our steel hardware. During this process, the hardware is washed in acid and then dipped into a vat of molten, corrosion-resistant zinc. This process is not exact, and while all parts of our hardware are coated, the coating thickness may vary resulting in slight aesthetic imperfections to the finish. That being said, hot dip galvanizing is an integral step in our superior metal finishing process as it creates a metallurgical bond between the steel and the zinc coating. Therefore, in the event of damage, rust is unable to migrate to other parts of the product

ADJUSTABLE INSTALLATION - Adjustable Curve hinge can be mounted on either the left- or right-hand side of a gate/door and curve either upward or downward on either side. The curved portion of the strap also articulates allowing it to easily match up to varying gate/door designs.
