The cabinet hardware selection process quickly becomes overwhelming for first timers and seasoned installers alike. There are many suggestions on what should be done which don't take into account that this is your personal project. Here are some basics. An economical choice is to use only knobs, or to use knobs on upper cabinets and shorter pulls on lower cabinets. Using all pulls gives a more streamlined look.
Use the “one third” rule to select pull length. Select longer pulls to visually complement the vertical lines of the cabinet doors and the horizontal lines of the cabinet drawers, giving a sleek look to the kitchen cabinets.
