Wrought Iron Cabinet Hinge

This Wrought Iron Cabinet Split Tail Flag Hinge is mounted with 1/2 mortise (leaf mortised into frame) slip hinge post.

  • Mortise Installs on Frame Inset
  • Flag: 2" W x 1 5/8" H
  • Post: 2" W x 2 1/2" H
  • Flag requires 3 screws (included)
  • Mortise requires 3 screws (flat head suggested, not available through Martell Hardware)

Hinge Configuration:

  • Hinge Flag is ALWAYS mounted on the cabinet door
  • LEFT CABINET DOOR: Hinge flag points to the right and a support tail mounted on the door frame points to the left

This item is manufactured in the USA and then fired & hammer forged by an individual blacksmith in the time-honored tradition of colonial anvil-hammered black smithing.

In Colonial America blacksmiths used forge & anvil, hammer & tongs to make agricultural tools for farmers and homemakers tools and hardware for their homes. Blacksmith's cast, bent, welded, and riveted fireplace racks, andirons, pothooks, locks, cooking utensils, hinges, and decorative wrought iron.

Hammered Hinges has recreated this classic tradition with the manufacture of a line of beautiful rustic iron hardware for cabinets, passage doors, and decoration.
